So recently I discovered that Viansa came to PA and no one bothered telling me before most of the inventory in the state was sold out. We’ll discuss that another time, but this past weekend I pulled all (ok, not all, but most of) the stops.

On a cold, rainy Sunday afternoon I called every “Premium Collection Store” the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has in three counties looking for the stuff. Besides Doylestown, which already reserved their 11 remaining bottles for some other jerk (not this jerk), I managed to procure the only other 5 bottles Viansa had to offer to local Pennsylvanians. This includes four Merlot and one Barbera, which I didn’t even think would be available in the stores.
Keep in mind I haven’t tasted a drop of Viansa’s nectar in about 4 years. I sure hope it doesn’t suck, but even if it does… this was a very fun adventure through three counties on a dreary autumn afternoon.
