Lists of Note: Things to worry about →
In 1933, renowned author F. Scott Fitzgerald ended a letter to his 11-year-old daughter, Scottie, with a list of things to worry about, not worry about, and simply think about.

I Don't Care...
I don’t care that Willard Mitt Romney paid 15% in taxes over 2010 and 2011; he followed the letter and the spirit of the tax law.
I don’t care that over this time he gave $7 million to charity, including over $4 million to his church; that’s generous of him (if even only a small portion of his quarter-billion estimated total net worth). Of course, Mormon tithing requirements...

World's funniest joke - Wikipedia, the free... →
The “world’s funniest joke” is a term used by Richard Wiseman of the University of Hertfordshire in 2002 to summarize one of the results of his research. For his experiment, named LaughLab, he created a website where people could rate and submit jokes. Purposes of the research included discovering the joke that had the widest appeal and understanding among different cultures,...

January Geocaching!
This past Saturday (January 7) was a beautiful day in the Lehigh Valley, so I pumped up the bike tires and met my Geobuddies at the Plainfield Township Rail-Trail. Knowing that this winter cannot remain so warm and cache-friendly, I’m jumping at nearly any opportunity to get out and find some new parks, trails, and geocaches along the way.
Along the trail there is a nice, long series of...

St.Fu's Nighttime, Multi, Puzzle EXTRAVAGANZA!
On the evening of December 29, 2011 I ventured out into the woods with my Geobuddies to attempt GC38829, our first nighttime cache, through state game lands in the middle of winter.
Suiting up for our first nighttime cache adventure. I had two pair of pants on, hiking boots, three layers, plus winter coat. I stayed rather warm for the entire trek.
Just one of the many obstacles we had to...

Money Is Not Important: Did you know? →
moneyisnotimportant:
During the 1950s and early 60s, the highest tax bracket was over 90%. Granted, this was a marginal rate, meaning that not all of someone’s income was taxed at this rate.
This was an effort to discourage mindless greed, and it was thought that this would ultimately benefit the economy. The theory…

Some of these are duplicates and some actually contradict others, but there’s still some good stuff in here.
1. You’re stronger than you think you are. 2. Mistakes teach you important lessons. Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal. 3. Every accomplishment starts with decision to try. There is nothing to hold you back except you. 4. You can press forward...

Christmas Cards
So… I received a very nice Christmas (Holiday) card from the Obama family this year. “From our family to yours… may the holiday season and the coming year be filled with joy for you and your family.” It even has pre-printed signatures from Barack, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and Bo. Included with this wonderful holiday message was a request for me to send them money.
Is this...

In Major Gaffe, Obama Forgets To Dumb It Down |... →
CINCINNATI—In a serious miscalculation that may prove devastating to his bid for a second term, President Barack Obama neglected Tuesday to simplify a statement to the point where it could readily be grasped by anyone with the vocabulary of an 8-year-old. “Instead of saying, ‘There are many global variables at work here, and unless they all fall into place, we could find ourselves...

Delaware: Home of Wine!
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania tells me that I can bring my own wine (for personal consumption) across the border with no problem. So last Friday, I did just that! I went to the great state of Delaware to take advantage of different selections (and a few better prices) and returned with two and a half cases of treasure, plus a few gifts to pass along to others this Giftmas.
Just over two...
